Bottle Cap Rockets are a guitar driven Indie band from Northern New Jersey. There’s plenty of Interlocking harmonies, catchy hooks & insightful lyrics to move the music along. Influences include The Raconteurs, Guster, My Morning Jacket, Led Zeppelin, Jet, The Beatles, The Kinks, The Smithereens and others.
……………………………………………………
Al Gross: singer/songwriter/guitarist
Al's Influences start with The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. He was a co-writer and lead guitarist for the Alternative Hoboken group “Smart Dog” until 2003. After the band desolved Al had the good fortune of selling twenty five of his written works to “Universal Music” (a subsidiary of Universal Pictures). In late 2009 he started writing songs and by April 2010 Bottle Cap Rockets was formed.
……………………………………………………
Dana De La Rosa: drums/backing vocals
His distinctive, precise + powerful style is his own. Mitch Mitchell of “The Jimi Hendrix Experience” and John Bonham of” Led Zeppelin” are high on his list of influences (he’s a double bass with one foot kinda guy). Dana was a member of some of L.I.’s best original bands (Brau Beat, Seven Daze) sharing the stage as an opening act for Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, Foreigner, Toto, Edgar Winter and many others.
……………………………………………………
Joe Starosielec: bass
He lives by the philosophy of the bass. Joe draws his inspiration from all corners of the universe. An old soul at 26, Joe’s intuitively creative and commanding presence on bass brings to mind some of Rock’s greatest performers, namely John Paul Jones, Paul McCartney and John Entwistle to name a few. After taking a short musical hiatus to answer some of life’s less creative demands, Joe heard the distant sound of “Bottle Cap Rockets” counting down and knew he had to be on board. Bass in hand, Joe was ready for take off.”
